Weeknotes: 15

The last week was, one way or another, a bit of a working wash-out. After a dashing start — including chatting about a very interesting little project with a client — I managed to give myself a dose of food poisoning. It was probably the sickest I’d been since a similar bout in Kenya several years ago, and so really wiped out the rest of the week for me.

I did, however, manage to have a couple of lucid meetings and continued arranging Project Moke: I’m trying to get my Chinese visa, which is proving a little more awkward than I’d anticipated, not least because the consulate in San Francisco has a habit of closing for lunch. I still need to do some more organisation for this project, but it’s going to kick off pretty soon.

Otherwise, this week is dedicated to Project Nolo, sorting out some tax affairs and . My brief sparring with Tom over the weekend made me think I should write a little more about how I see things in the media business, some of which will hopefully come this week — perhaps during a meeting of the Interesting Times club, a proposed co-working get-together among a few friends who are currently freelance/working from home/unemployed.

Should be good.
